SETTING THE PERFECT MOOD THROUGH MUSIC

Thank you for choosing Danny Ray and the Acoustic Production for your event!  Our ability to read the room and determine what song to play is crucial to keeping that dance floor hopping!  BUT we want to make sure that your event is specific and personalized to you ... a crowd of friends jumping to songs YOU love.  This following form helps give us a head start on what to play.  More specifically you'll find:

  • 3 common options for order of events at reception (when will first dance occur, when will toasts be, etc.)
  • A series of questions about reception/event details (how you would like to be announced, first dance songs, etc.)
  • An easy survey about your music preferences for the dinner/cocktail hour and the dancing. (top 40, motown, 80s music, country, etc.)
  • An open message form where you can indicate the ideal order and any additional notes.

Upon receiving, we will put together a document that we will send over to you.  With or without the form, we're gonna have some fun together!

A note about music: The music we play is always clean.  While every reception is different, based on your preferences, we typically start with a couple of the older songs and begin to play more upbeat and more contemporary music as the night goes on.  The majority of our set is high-energy and we minimize any space between songs.  By focusing primarily on popular songs that most people will know, you'll be able to see the level of engagement and excitement in your guests.  Watching who’s dancing and the demographic of who’s in the room are essential in deciding what and when to play!  On any band breaks we get the DJ’ed music playing almost immediately to keep those dancing shoes going.
